Week 7 of 9

Rev. Elaine Hewes,  a retired Lutheran minister and “vagabond minister,” will discuss  "Love's Devastating Beauty” this Sunday. Please note: the Annual Chapel Meeting will take place at 9 am before the usual service.

Hancock Point Chapel August 12, 2018

9 am -- Annual Chapel Meeting

10 am -- Service

Rev. Elaine Hewes is a "retired" Lutheran Pastor, now serving a number of Episcopal and Lutheran churches on Sunday mornings in the role of visiting preacher. She is most passionate about using art, poetry, and music to break open new ways of entering into the mystery of God's presence in our midst. Elaine lives in Sedgwick, ME, with her husband Michael where they are blessed to occasionally host their three children and four young grandsons.

Rev. Hewes is also a soprano and will sing a duet with Mandy Schumaker, who will be playing the piano as well. Quin O’Meara will play a piece on his trumpet.

Please enjoy refreshments following the service -- whether you attended or not. And if you enjoy eating, please sign up to serve some snacks after the final Aug 26 service. Sign up sheet is posted inside the chapel entrance or speak with Marcia Crabtree.

And any ideas for speakers next summer should be sent to Mandy Schumaker at mandy@mandyschumaker.com
